Electoral Reform

If ever there was a case to be made for Electoral Reform just look at the latest evidence, the Election results.
In Darwen and Rossendale, with a voting population of 61,000 ……… 42,000 (68%) chose not to vote Conservative.
In Blackburn, voting population of 70,000………48,000 (68%) chose not to vote Labour
In the Ribble Valley, voting population of 78,000………52,000 (66%) chose not to vote Conservative
In Hyndburn, voting population of 67,000…………..50,000 (74%) chose not to vote Labour
Total number of voters 276, 000 of which 192,000 (70%) did not agree with the choice.
The LibDems have it in their power to wrestle control from the two main parties who have dominated the scene for too long. I hope they don’t betray their supporters by reneging on their promise of PR and jumping into bed with one of them. It would be hard to spot any differences if that happened.
